My First Adjust was Instant Relief

My Mum dragged me to the local Chiropractor after watching me limp around for too long after falling off my bike. I was 15. My first adjustment was instant relief and I was back to rugby training within a week. I had not connected the bike accident with my groin and knee problems. Lucky for me growing up in Queensland, Australia there was a culture of activity, health and wellness and people really notice when you were not participating.
I knew I was in the Right Place
I had a choice between medicine or physiotherapy after completing my BSc in Sport Science. After talking with a good friend from rugby who had just graduated from Chiropractic in Sydney it became clear I was going to be able to help the more people in Chiropractic, so I went down there immediately. From my first class I knew I was in the right place.
Chiropractic Education
The college I attended, Macquarie University, Sydney had some inspirational teaches who forced us to look at the whole person. They were rigorous on being accurate with our medical diagnosis so we could be alert to serious issues. What really impressed me was the level of detail we went into about understand the processes, behaviours and lifestyles that often preceded many of the issues we see daily.
Proactive Health, Wellness & Performance
After traveling and working all over Europe I established Prohab in 2005. Prohab simply means 'proactive rehabilitation'. Its not about just 'rehabing' back to where you were. We can do that and and we can do it fast. Prohab is about going beyond that, well out of the pain zone and into realising your true power and potential. Its proactive health, wellness and performance.
On a Personal Note
My fiance Jane and I are expecting our first child later this year. We are both excited and well and truly feeling our life change already. No more adventure racing in the Yukon or skiing in Kashmir... for a little while anyway. We are just back from a babymoon to Costa Rica. Beautiful country and 10 days surfing twice a day is bliss.
I get adjusted weekly. You will find me riding to work daily and right now and I am starting training for my next challenge with Team Helmut. So I am gradually building the my running up and getting all barefoot about it. Love the thinking behind it and my body definitely loves it.

My Dad recently won a Gold at the Australia National Surf Life Saving Championships. He rows surf boats and the average age of the crew is 64. Over the course of their lives everyone in that crew has had major health challenges. To-date there have been 1 neck, 5 knee, 3 shoulder, 1 wrist, 1 bowel operations and a life threatening case of cellulitis in that boat. Not to mention loads of wobbly moments with respective wives and family.
Why I am I telling you this?
They credit their success in life, the Gold is only one measure, as a direct result of their health and wellness. Their ability to bounce back from their health challenges and perform the thing they love with their mates they put down to being active and expecting their body to respond when they move it, fuel it and think it well. At Prohab we are ready to help you bounce back and, if you want, go even further.
